PACCAR Earns Live United Award

United Way of King County (UWKC) named PACCAR the recipient of the Live United award during its Sparkies event in March. Sparkie awards are presented to companies that are making an outstanding difference in the community and sparking change through their United Way efforts. The Live United award was the highest honor given at the event.

PACCAR raised $576,000 for UWKC during its annual giving campaign last October. The total included employee pledges, a corporate gift and a grant renewal for the organization’s Veteran Employment Project.

“The Live United award is a testament to the generosity of PACCAR and its employees,” said Craig Gryniewicz, director of credit, PACCAR Inc, and PACCAR’s United Way campaign chair. “This generosity has set PACCAR apart as an excellent organization and member of the King County community.”

“Our commitment to United Way is an important part of PACCAR’s role as an outstanding corporate citizen,” said Ron Armstrong, PACCAR chief executive officer. “I am proud of our employees’ efforts and contributions in making a positive impact through United Way. Our donations will go far in providing vital human services to those in need.”
