In the past three years the use of off centered steering wheels have become popular and are often used as original equipment on new Peterbilt trucks.

Off center steering wheels are engineered to use steering wheel nuts with large bushings.

When accessorizing trucks with off set steering wheels with custom wooden steering wheels, which are centered, it is necessary to change the wheel nuts to a low profile wheel nut. The low profile wheel nut part number TRW 0261285.
