    PACCAR selects suppliers based on their ability to provide high quality, technologically advanced products at competitive prices in a timely manner.

    The following is a general description of the evaluation process undertaken by PACCAR to assess a potential new supplier: New Supplier Package Market Test Supplier Site Visit QS9000 Survey Contract/POs
     

    New Supplier Information
    Please contact the appropriate Commodity Manager to determine if there are any business opportunities with PACCAR.

    Market Test
    The Commodity Manager will perform a competitive analysis of the potential supplier's submitted pricing.

    Site Visit
    A site visit may be required to evaluate the potential supplier's manufacturing facility and the supplier's financial viability.

    Selection Criteria
    PACCAR selects suppliers based on their ability to provide high quality, technologically advanced parts at competitive prices in a timely manner. PACCAR suppliers are to make continuous improvement in quality, productivity, cost, and delivery.

    Certification Validation
    Suppliers must be certified to either QS9000, ISO/TS-16949 or ISO-9001 (2000).

     

    Supplier Qualification
    PACCAR assesses new suppliers with respect to their quality system, financial stability, logistics, and technical capabilities. PACCAR may conduct an on-site evaluation (Supplier Readiness Review) prior to placing an order.
