    U.K. Honorary Award for Mark Pigott

    Ceremony at British Embassy, Washington, D.C.

    October 23, 2003, Bellevue, Washington – British Ambassador Sir David Manning presented PACCAR chairman and chief executive officer Mark Pigott with an honorary award, the OBE (Order of the British Empire), in recognition of exceptional services dedicated toward strengthening business ties between the U.K. and U.S.A.

    “On behalf of the company and myself, I thank the U.K. Foreign Office for this unexpected and thoroughly appreciated honor. This is a wonderful day for PACCAR,” said Mark Pigott. “The development of PACCAR’s business in the U.K., with the acquisition of Foden Trucks and British Leyland, has been steadily growing for 23 years. The U.K. is a major cornerstone of PACCAR’s success globally.”

    PACCAR is a global technology leader in the design, manufacture and customer support of high-quality light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and Foden nameplates. It also provides financial services and distributes truck parts related to its principal business. In addition, the Bellevue, Washington-based company manufactures winches under the Braden, Gearmatic and Carco nameplates.
