Product Planning Manager - Powertrain

- Analyzes and defines each of the major market segments and engine platforms to include product and brand specifications, competitive products, and associated pricing levels.
- Develops, maintains, and manages a comprehensive brand strategy for the product and engine family, including future product development requirements and ideas.
- Routinely reviews REI’s and OAR’s for possible future prioritization in the product plan.
- Works with Marketing, Sales and Marketing Administration to incorporate the brand strategies into their respective planning activities.
- Write /update Book of Wishes and work Program Management to develop, write, and contribute to the Tollgate Product Creation Process including Passport documents, Product Description Book, Business Plans, and financial analysis.
- Identify and coordinate product and non-product actions to maximize customer satisfaction as reported by Peterbilt’s customer satisfaction program, other external CSI reports, and Peterbilt warranty.
- Participates in major product and non-product project teams.

EDUCATION DESIRED:
- MBA Preferred
- Engine experience (marketing and/or engineering) is highly preferred
- Six to eight years directly related experience desired, preferably possessing two years with PACCAR
- Six Sigma greenbelt or blackbelt certification is preferred
