    Dealer Development Manager - 2  openings

    • Continuously improve the Peterbilt Dealer Network.
    • Work successfully with Peterbilt Sales Regions and PACCAR’s parts, financial, leasing, legal, and credit divisions to help improve dealer performance and profits.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key dealer personnel, primarily Dealer Principals (owners), CFO’s, and dealership senior management.
    • Develop and monitor dealer performance goals and financial results.
    • Recommend appropriate actions to achieve desired results.
    • Manage dealer contract renewal process and Peterbilt Standards of Excellence program.
    • Work with dealers to develop and coordinate dealer business plan reviews for presentation to Peterbilt and PACCAR senior management.
    • Identify, coordinate, and assist dealers with preparation of branch expansion, capital assistance packages, and buy/sell proposals.
    • Facilitate dealership sales and ownership transitions.
    • Identify new dealer markets and potential dealer candidates.
    • Must develop strong understanding of dealership financial and business operation and have ability to effectively communicate with Dealership, Peterbilt, and PACCAR Senior Management.
    • Ability and desire to place yourself in the role of a business owner and understand opportunities and risks.
    • Willing to travel up to 20% and have the desire and ability to achieve increasing levels of responsibility.


    SKILLS REQUIRED:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and database management. Must be well-organized, detailed, results-oriented and a good project manager. Must have maturity and confidence to deal with unique business issues and maintain confidentiality. Good business acumen with the ability to identify and manage opportunities and risk.

    EDUCATION REQUIRED:

    Degree in business administration, marketing, finance/accounting; five or more years of Dealer Development experience is required. Level of position is dependent upon education and experience.
