PETERBILT RANKS HIGHEST IN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AMONG CONVENTIONAL MEDIUM-DUTY TRUCKS IN J.D. POWER AND ASSOCIATES STUDY
DENTON, Texas (November 26, 2007) – Peterbilt Motors Company is the highest ranked manufacturer in the J.D. Power and Associates 2007 Medium-Duty Truck Customer Satisfaction StudySM in the conventional medium-duty truck segment. Peterbilt has been ranked the highest in customer satisfaction among conventional medium duty trucks two years in a row.

Peterbilt received the highest scores in the two factors that have the biggest impact on overall conventional product satisfaction – quality and performance, as well as in the cost of ownership factor. In each of the five areas that make up the performance factor, Peterbilt scored the highest of all OEM’s, leading in interior, exterior, ride, handling and braking, engine and transmission satisfaction.
The J.D. Power and Associates study is based on interviews with nearly 1,500 principal maintainers, such as fleet managers or owner-operators, of two-year-old conventional cab medium-duty trucks.
