- PACCAR’s Kenworth Truck Company developed the revolutionary model T600 which began the aerodynamics era in trucking. The next generation aerodynamic Kenworth T660 achieves a high-water mark in technology, styling and fuel economy thanks to Kenworth’s advanced truck design process that has come a long way since the development of the legendary, fuel-saving Kenworth T600 in the 1980s.
- In 1997 PACCAR formed the Aerodynamics Expertise Group to provide an internal forum for improving fuel efficiency. This group continues to work in collaborations with the Department of Energy and various Universities and National Laboratories.
- Today our internal competitions for new fuel efficient designs continue to improve the performance of our new trucks.
