    PacLease, Divison of PACCAR Inc

PacLease recently integrated PacTrac telematics with its fuel tax reporting system to improve efficiency and reduce unwanted paper. PacLease plans to save about 20,000 pieces of paper each year at its company store locations alone. Drivers will no longer be required to fill out driver trip records, and PacLease personnel will not have to manually enter the data from these paper records in tracking systems. This integration allows company stores to import GPS location data into the fuel tax system for seamless reporting. PacLease will virtually eliminate missing mileage data, which in turn reduces fuel tax liability in the event of a fuel tax audit. “For PacLease customers, it will mean total elimination of driver fuel and mileage reporting,” said Bob Southern, president of PACCAR Leasing Company. “Fleet managers can trust that their data is correct and no longer have to rely on drivers to turn in paperwork to ensure compliance.” PacLease plans to extend the paperless fuel tax service to franchises this quarter, and is working to automate terminal fuel purchases along with those made with the PacFuel card, eliminating the need for customers to turn in fuel receipts.
